Al was one of my oldest friends. We met in ROTC at Lane Technical High School in Chicago in 1962, and have been lifelong friends. He introduced me to my wife of 45 years through his wife(then high school sweetheart) Meloney. We double dated, later married our gals, and our kids played together when young. I treasure our memories together. He will be sorely missed. - Nickolas Buchic

Alex, You were my friend through high school and I remember with fondness the adventures we had as ROTC cadets - to say nothing of the hijinks we shared on the nights we went cruising. Now, you've answered the call to retreat and have gone home beyond the veil. May your spirit find rest and be mindful of our prayers. - Eric Graubins, Chicago, IL

Alex & Michelle, I am thinking of you during this part of life's journey. Always remember that your faith and family can help deal with life's harder times. God has made you a strong person to lead others in his way. - Robert P. Alexander

Alex and Family, We are so sorry about the death of your father. We cannot make it to the funeral, but are thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. - Mike/Wanda Lyons

We are so sorry to hear about Alex Sr's passing. It doesn't seem possible that almost 30 years have passed since we were all together trying to make the Cub Scout program go in the Faulenberg Housing Area. We will always cherish the memories of all our successes in Baumholder because of the teamwork and dedication all the families in the Pack gave to have a great Scouting program for our children. Who would have known back then that Alex, Jr. would become a successful Scout Executive in the Boy Scout movement. We should all be proud of what we accomplished in Baumholder. - Richard (Fuji) & Irene Fujimoto
